HPBOSE Announces D.El.Ed Common Entrance Test 2026 Schedule
The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE), headquartered in Dharamsala, has officially released the examination schedule for the Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test (D.El.Ed CET) for the 2026-28 academic session. Comprehensive Application Process for All Eligible Candidates
Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Chairman of HPBOSE, has clarified that the application process for the D.El.Ed Common Entrance Test is designed to be inclusive. Not only fresh candidates but also students eligible for D.El.Ed Part-I and Part-II re-appear examinations can apply through the same application form. This streamlined approach helps candidates complete their pending qualifications efficiently while pursuing their teaching aspirations.
Detailed Entrance Test Schedule and Important Dates
The application window for the D.El.Ed Common Entrance Test will commence on April 4, 2026, and conclude on April 26, 2026. For those who miss this initial deadline, a late application window with an additional fee of Rs 500 will be available from April 27 to April 29, 2026.
Key dates for D.El.Ed CET 2026 include:
- Online application start date: April 4, 2026
- Last date to apply: April 26, 2026
- Late application window: April 27–April 29, 2026 (with Rs 500 fee)
- Correction window for applications: April 30–May 2, 2026
- Availability of roll numbers: Four days before May 31, 2026
- Entrance examination date: May 31, 2026
The Board has established a correction window from April 30 to May 2, 2026, specifically for rectifying mistakes in submitted application forms. This thoughtful provision ensures candidates can correct errors before the examination process advances.
Fee Structure and Important Correction Guidelines
The application fee has been set at Rs 900 for General Category applicants, while SC, ST, OBC, PHH, and EWS applicants will pay Rs 600. All payments must be made digitally through the official Board channels.
Important correction guidelines: While most corrections can be made online during the designated correction window, any changes to the sub-category or category itself require the applicant to personally visit the Board office in Dharamsala. These corrections must be completed before the final deadline to ensure proper processing.
Re-appear Examination Application Process
Alongside the entrance examination announcement, HPBOSE has also detailed the schedule for D.El.Ed Part-I and Part-II re-appear examinations, scheduled for June 2026. Eligible candidates must apply through their respective institutions between April 2, 2026, and April 16, 2026.
