Kota School Timings Changed Amid Heatwave Alert

Jaipur: With the Meteorological Department issuing a heatwave alert, Kota district on Thursday changed school timings for all students from Class 1 to 12. Schools will operate from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm, effective from Friday until further orders.

Revised Timings for All Schools

Piyush Samaria, district collector of Kota, revised the operational hours for classes, which will apply to all government and private schools across the district. The order emphasizes that clean drinking water arrangements must be made available for students in all schools.

"It must be ensured that arrangements for clean drinking water are made available for students in all government and non-government schools. This arrangement applies solely to students; the remaining staff (teaching and non-teaching) shall continue to work according to their regular schedules," states an order issued by the district collector.

Action Against Violators

Action, in accordance with the rules and under the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, will be initiated against any school found violating the directive. The district administration has warned of strict measures to ensure compliance.

The decision comes as the region braces for extreme heat conditions, with the meteorological department predicting a significant rise in temperatures. Parents and students have been advised to take necessary precautions during the heatwave period.
