The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced crucial document verification dates for Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates who qualified in the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) 2025. The verification process is scheduled for December 8 and 9, 2025, marking the final step before eligibility certificate issuance.
Mandatory Verification Requirements
According to the official notification, attendance on the assigned date is absolutely compulsory for all PwD candidates. The authority has made it clear that merely qualifying in the written examination does not guarantee eligibility unless candidates successfully complete the document verification process.
Only candidates appearing with complete and valid documentation will be considered for the KSET eligibility certificate under the PwD quota. The verification schedule has been published on the official KEA website, and candidates have been strictly instructed not to report on any date other than the one specifically assigned to them.
Essential Documents for PwD Candidates
PwD candidates must produce the following documents in original format along with photocopies during the verification process:
Printed copy of final KSET 2025 application that matches the online submission
Government-issued photo ID such as Aadhaar, Passport, PAN, Driving Licence, or Voter ID
Valid PwD/UDID certificate issued by competent medical authorities in Karnataka
Recent photograph identical to the one used in the application form
Medical certificate confirming disability from a government hospital relevant to the claimed disability
For hearing-impaired candidates, PTA + BERA audiometry reports from recognized institutions including AIISH Mysuru, NIMHANS Bengaluru, Manipal Hospital, or Government Speech & Hearing Institute, Bengaluru are mandatory.
Special Provisions for SC-PwD Candidates
Candidates claiming reservation under both Scheduled Caste (SC) and PwD categories face additional requirements. They must specify their SC sub-category (SC-A, SC-B or SC-C) as mandated by KEA and produce a valid caste certificate issued by the jurisdictional Tahsildar with the sub-category clearly mentioned.
Without these specific documents, SC-PwD candidates will not receive the KSET eligibility certificate, even if they have been listed as qualified in the results. KEA has clarified that reserved-category seats may be reassigned to the next eligible candidate if the original claimant fails verification.
KSET 2025 Examination Overview
The KSET 2025 examination was conducted on November 2, 2025 across 11 centres covering 33 different subjects. The examination witnessed massive participation with 1,34,826 candidates registering for the test.
Out of these registered candidates, 1,21,052 candidates actually appeared for the examination. The results declared 8,383 candidates as qualified based on category-wise cut-offs, which stand at 40% for General category and 35% for reserved categories.
For PwD and reserved-category aspirants, the verification process represents the final and decisive requirement before the eligibility certificate is officially issued. Candidates failing to appear or provide valid documentation will be deemed ineligible, regardless of their examination performance.
Consequences of Non-Compliance
KEA has issued a clear advisory regarding disqualification scenarios. Absence on the assigned date will lead to automatic rejection of the PwD/reserved-category claim. Submission of invalid, incomplete or mismatched documentation will result in cancellation of candidature under the respective quota.
SC-PwD candidates who fail to provide sub-category details and the corresponding Tahsildar-issued certificate will not be issued the eligibility certificate under any circumstances.
The authority emphasizes that candidates reporting on dates other than their assigned slots will not be accommodated under any conditions. All qualified PwD candidates are advised to check the official KEA website for their specific verification dates and prepare their documents well in advance to avoid last-minute complications.
