KARTET 2025 Exam Schedule and Structure

The KARTET 2025 exam is scheduled for December 7, 2025, and will be conducted in two separate shifts. Paper-1, for candidates aiming to teach classes 1 to 5, will be held from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Paper-2, for classes 6 to 8, will follow in the afternoon from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.

Each paper comprises 150 multiple-choice questions, carrying a total of 150 marks. The examination follows a no-negative-marking policy. However, candidates must achieve the prescribed minimum qualifying scores: 60% for General, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B categories, and 55% for SC, ST, Category-1, and Persons with Special Needs.

Critical Exam Day Guidelines and Timings

Adherence to the reporting time is mandatory. For Paper-1, candidates can enter the examination centre starting at 9:00 AM, with the final entry allowed only until 9:15 AM. For Paper-2, entry begins at 1:30 PM and the gate will close at 1:45 PM. Verification of the admission ticket will commence right after entry, followed by the distribution of question booklets.
