Mandya district has achieved a remarkable success in this year's SSLC examinations, recording a significant improvement in both pass percentage and state ranking. The district secured the 5th position in Karnataka, a substantial leap from the 12th rank it held last year. The pass percentage rose to 97.4 percent from 83.4 percent, reflecting the district's steady academic progress and strengthened educational framework.
Impressive Results and Statistics
Of the 18,753 students who appeared for the examinations, 18,275 successfully cleared them. This high success rate underscores the district's commitment to improving educational outcomes. The increase in pass percentage by 14 percentage points highlights the effectiveness of recent interventions.
Proactive Measures by Administration
Officials attributed the outstanding performance to a series of proactive initiatives led by ZP CEO KR Nandini. She conducted surprise inspections of schools and hostels to monitor preparedness and performance. These inspections ensured that students and teachers remained focused and motivated throughout the academic year.
Nandini emphasized the collective effort behind the achievement. Public representatives extended full support at every stage, enabling the administration to function effectively. Teachers worked beyond regular hours, providing extra coaching and guidance to students. Their dedication played a crucial role in the outcome.
Future Plans for Sustained Improvement
Outlining the way forward, the CEO stated that the district would adopt a more systematic and organic approach. The focus will not only be on SSLC results but also on strengthening academic fundamentals from the grassroots level. This includes improving teaching methods, enhancing infrastructure, and providing continuous training for teachers.
The district aims to ensure sustained improvement in all future examinations. By building a strong educational foundation, Mandya hopes to maintain its upward trajectory and set an example for other districts in Karnataka.
