Madhya Pradesh Class 8 Board Results 2026 Declared with 93.83% Overall Pass Rate
The School Education Department of Madhya Pradesh has officially declared the results for the Class 8 board-pattern examinations for the academic year 2026. The announcement was made by School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh during a special program held at Vallabh Bhavan in Bhopal. The overall pass percentage stands at an impressive 93.83 per cent, reflecting a high success rate among students across the state.
Gender-Wise Performance Highlights Consistent Trend
In a continuation of recent trends, female candidates once again outperformed their male counterparts in the Class 8 examinations. The gender-wise breakdown reveals that 94.98 per cent of female students passed the examination, compared to 92.74 per cent of male students. This significant difference underscores the ongoing academic excellence demonstrated by female students in Madhya Pradesh.
Examination Participation and Regional Distribution
A total of 1,092,580 students appeared for the Class 8 board-pattern examinations this year. The participation was distributed across both rural and urban areas, with 753,784 students from rural locations and 338,796 students from urban centers. This widespread involvement highlights the extensive reach of the state's educational initiatives.
Top Performing Divisions and Districts
Indore division secured the top position among all divisions in the Class 8 results, demonstrating exceptional academic performance. The ranking of divisions is as follows:

- Jabalpur
- Bhopal
- Chambal
- Ujjain
- Gwalior
- Sagar
- Rewa
Among districts, Narsinghpur ranked first, followed by other high-performing districts:
- Alirajpur
- Dindori
- Jhabua
- Balaghat
- Anuppur
- Sehore
- Chhindwara
- Barwani
- Mandla
Examination Conduct and Evaluation Process
The Class 8 board-pattern examinations were conducted at 12,943 centers across Madhya Pradesh, ensuring accessibility for students in all regions. The evaluation process was meticulously organized, involving 110,655 teachers working across 322 evaluation centers. A mobile-based system was employed for uploading marks, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
To maintain fairness and objectivity, answer sheets were exchanged across different development blocks for evaluation. This structured board-pattern approach ensured a standardized assessment process throughout the state.
Online Result Access and Supplementary Examinations
Students accessed their results through the State Education Centre website, which experienced high traffic immediately after the release. The website recorded over 100,000 users per minute, with multiple servers deployed to ensure uninterrupted access for all candidates.
For students who did not pass the examinations, the School Education Department has provided an opportunity to appear for supplementary examinations. According to examination guidelines, these students will only need to reattempt the specific subjects in which they failed, allowing them to focus their efforts and improve their results.
