NSUI leaders have formally objected to the act, arguing that such performances undermine the cultural integrity of university events. ABVP Issues Clarification and Distances Itself from Performance
In response to the growing controversy, ABVP has issued an official clarification distancing itself from the viral dance performance. According to the organization, approximately 140 students were officially registered participants in the 'Sanskar Sangam' event, which featured traditional dance performances, drama presentations, and cultural walks as part of its scheduled programming.
ABVP representatives stated that the student seen in the viral video was not among the registered participants for the cultural event. The organization explained that the individual came on stage during an official break after repeatedly seeking permission from event organizers. ABVP further clarified that the actual performance differed significantly from what had been indicated to organizers beforehand, and technical constraints prevented them from stopping the music midway through the act.

ABVP emphasized that the video was not shared through any official ABVP communication channels and was instead uploaded from the student's personal social media account.
