NIOS Class 10 & 12 Results 2025 Declared: Check Scores, Apply for Correction
NIOS 10th & 12th Results 2025 Out: Check Now

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has officially declared the results for the Class 10 (Secondary) and Class 12 (Senior Secondary) public examinations conducted in October and November 2025. Students who appeared for these crucial board exams can now access their scores online through the official portals.

How to Check Your NIOS Result Online

To view the result, candidates must visit the official NIOS websites: nios.ac.in or results.nios.ac.in. On the homepage, they need to locate and click on the active link for the 'October–November 2025 Public Exam' results. The next step requires entering the unique enrolment number. Upon submission, the digital scorecard will be displayed.

Students are advised to download and save a PDF copy of the scorecard for all future references. The document contains vital details including the student's full name, enrolment number, course name, subject codes, theory marks, practical marks, total marks, and the final result status (Pass/Fail). It is crucial to verify all this information against personal records. If the website is unresponsive due to high traffic, trying again after some time is recommended.

Understanding the Scorecard and Correction Process

The online result is provisional. The original marksheet will be dispatched by NIOS through its affiliated study centres or regional offices at a later date, following the standard procedure.

If any discrepancy is found in the published result, NIOS provides a facility for correction. Students can apply online for rectification of specific data-related issues such as missing practical marks, absent tutor-marked assignment (TMA) scores, missing transfer of credit marks, or an incorrect absence status in a subject.

The application for any correction must be submitted within 30 days from the result declaration date. A fee of Rs 50 per request is applicable, payable online. It is important to note that this correction window is not for re-evaluation of answer scripts but solely for addressing errors in data entry.

Options for Rechecking and Re-evaluation

For students unsatisfied with their awarded marks, NIOS offers two formal avenues: rechecking and re-evaluation.

Rechecking involves a verification process where officials ensure all answers have been evaluated and the totaling of marks is accurate. The fee for rechecking a subject in the public exams is Rs 400.

Re-evaluation is a more thorough process where the answer script is assessed again by an examiner. This comes at a higher cost: Rs 1000 per subject for public exams and Rs 1200 per subject for on-demand examinations. An additional online processing fee of Rs 50 per request is also charged.

Applications for both rechecking and re-evaluation must be submitted strictly within the timeframe specified by NIOS. Any change in marks after these processes will be reflected in an updated result on the official website.

All students are urged to act promptly, carefully review their scorecards, and adhere to the deadlines if they wish to avail of any of the post-result services.
