Rajasthan Minister Orders Removal of School Encroachments

In a decisive move to reclaim government school premises, Rajasthan's Education Minister, Madan Dilawar, has issued strict instructions for the immediate removal of all illegal encroachments. The directive comes after a surprise inspection in Rajsamand revealed shocking violations, including religious structures built within school campuses.

Surprise Inspection Uncovers Violations

During an unannounced visit to four schools in Rajsamand on Thursday, Minister Madan Dilawar encountered a temple and a tomb inside the campuses of two separate institutions. The minister expressed strong disapproval upon discovering these religious sites, labeling their presence a clear violation of government instructions.

He conducted this inspection on Thursday, and the formal instructions were issued to officials the following day, on Friday.

Strict Action Warned Against Officials and Principals

The minister has made it unequivocally clear that no religious sites or illegal encroachments will be tolerated in any government school across Rajasthan. He stated that if such encroachments are not removed and are discovered during future inspections, action will be taken against the department officials alongside the school authorities.

Emphasizing the accountability of school heads, Dilawar declared, "If such sites are found in any school, strict action will be taken against the head of the institution." This puts principals and school leaders directly in the line of fire for ensuring their campuses are free from unauthorized constructions.

A State-Wide Drive for School Integrity

This initiative signals a broader push by the state's education department to maintain the sanctity and intended purpose of government school properties. The focus is on ensuring that school grounds are used solely for educational purposes, providing a safe and appropriate environment for students.

The minister's firm stance underscores a zero-tolerance policy towards encroachments, setting a precedent for administrative accountability and the protection of public educational infrastructure from misuse.
