Ranchi Celebrates 25 Years of Jharkhand with Cultural Fest & Drives
Ranchi's Grand 25-Year Jharkhand Statehood Celebration

Educational institutions across Ranchi are buzzing with excitement as they participate in the grand, four-day celebrations for the silver jubilee of Jharkhand's formation. The state is marking this significant milestone, officially titled "Jharkhand Rajya Sthapna Ke Rajat Jayanti Varsh: Virasat, Pragati aur Aakankshaon ka Utsav," with a series of events that showcase its rich heritage and progressive vision.

A City Immersed in Celebration

The festivities, scheduled from November 11 to 15, have transformed the city into a vibrant hub of competitions and cultural programs. These events are meticulously designed to reflect on the state's journey, its cultural unity, and the developmental strides it has made over the past quarter-century. The atmosphere is charged with pride and a collective spirit of celebration.

Colleges Lead with Inspirational Initiatives

At the Government Teacher Training College in Kanke, Ranchi, the spirit of the youth was put in the spotlight. The NSS Unit–1 organized a motivational speech competition for B.Ed. trainee teachers of the 2025–2027 session. The theme, "Yuva Shakti evam Jharkhand ka Bhavishya" (Youth Power and the Future of Jharkhand), prompted inspiring discourses on the role of the younger generation in shaping the state's destiny.

In a parallel initiative focused on community and environmental responsibility, Marwari College launched a cleanliness drive. This campaign, initiated on Wednesday under the directives of the higher and technical education department, is being spearheaded by NSS program officer Anubhav Chakravarty and a team of dedicated volunteers. Their mission is to spread awareness among students about the importance of environmental protection and fostering responsible behavior, aligning the act of cleanliness with the pride of statehood.

Building a Legacy for the Future

These diverse events, ranging from intellectual speeches to hands-on social work, highlight a multi-faceted approach to the anniversary. They are not merely about looking back at 25 years of history but are actively engaging the student community—the future leaders of Jharkhand—in conversations about progress, heritage, and their own aspirations. The celebrations successfully weave together the threads of the past, present, and future, creating a cohesive narrative of hope and continuous development for the state.
