Telangana Board to Send 2026 Intermediate Hall Tickets via WhatsApp
Telangana Intermediate 2026 Hall Tickets on WhatsApp

The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) in Hyderabad has unveiled a significant digital upgrade for the upcoming Intermediate Public Examinations in 2026. Aimed at enhancing transparency and keeping parents in the loop, the board will now dispatch hall tickets directly to parents' registered mobile numbers using WhatsApp.

New WhatsApp System for Hall Ticket Preview

This innovative move is designed to prevent last-minute hassles by allowing students and their parents to review all examination details well in advance. A preview of the hall ticket will be shared before the final download is enabled. This preview will contain crucial information for verification, including the student's name, photograph, group, medium, and selected subjects.

To access the preview:

  • Intermediate First Year students must enter their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Roll Number and Date of Birth.
  • Intermediate Second Year students need to provide their First Year Hall Ticket Number and Date of Birth.

Enhanced Details for Second Year Students

The board has taken an extra step for Second Year examinees. Their preview hall ticket will not only show the exam schedule but also include a comprehensive academic snapshot. This will feature marks obtained in first-year subjects already passed, along with marks for any failed subjects. This inclusion is intended to give parents a clear understanding of their child's academic standing.

Authorities have strongly advised students and parents to scrutinize every detail on the preview carefully. If any discrepancy is spotted—be it in the name, photo, group, or subjects—students should promptly report it to their College Principal, the District Intermediate Education Officer (DIEO), or the Nodal Officer of their district. This must be done well before the final hall ticket is officially issued.

Examination Schedule and Broader Impact

The board has also released the schedule for the practical examinations. The Intermediate Practical Examinations are slated to run from February 2 to February 21, 2026. Specifically, the English Practical Examination for First Year students is on February 18, 2026.

For Second Year students, practicals for backlog subjects are scheduled:

  • Ethics and Human Values Examination: February 21 to February 25, 2026.
  • Environmental Education Examination: February 21 to February 25, 2026.

This WhatsApp-based initiative capitalizes on the widespread use of smartphones among parents. The TGBIE believes this system will facilitate early error detection and improve communication channels between students, parents, colleges, and district authorities. The ultimate goal is to create a more transparent, efficient, and student-friendly examination process for the state of Telangana.
