Thiruvananthapuram Schools Achieve Remarkable Success in CBSE Class X Examinations
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the Class X examination results on Wednesday from New Delhi, revealing an exceptional performance by students from schools in Thiruvananthapuram and its suburban areas. Educational institutions across the city have reported impressive pass percentages, with several achieving perfect scores and numerous distinctions.
St Thomas Central School Leads with Perfect Pass Rate
St Thomas Central School in Mukkolakkal has set a high benchmark by securing a 100% pass rate in the CBSE Class X exams for 2026. Out of 265 students who appeared for the examination, a remarkable 221 students earned distinctions, while 41 secured first class and three achieved second class. Notably, 70% of the students scored 95% and above, highlighting the school's academic rigor. The top performers include Diya Mary George with 99.4%, Madhav S Nambiar with 99.2%, and Swathi Kiran with 99%, who secured the first, second, and third positions respectively.
Jyothis Central School and St Mary's Central School Show Strong Results
At Jyothis Central School in Kazhakkoottam, 74 out of 207 students scored 90% and above, with 38 students achieving 95% plus scores. The school witnessed a tie for the first rank, with Madhav Jayan, Sreepriya Rajesh, and Helen T Baijumon each scoring 498 marks, equivalent to 99.6%. Meanwhile, St Mary's Central School reported that 97 students out of 110 who appeared earned distinction marks. Karthika Sajeev emerged as the school topper with a score of 495, or 99%.
Cordova Public School and Christ Nagar Central School Excel
Cordova Public School also demonstrated strong academic performance, with 41 students securing distinctions, 41 achieving first class, and 17 obtaining second class. The school toppers are Karthil Sreebudhan with 94.2% and Muhammed Musammil with 92.6%. Christ Nagar Central School in Kowdiar matched the excellence by achieving a 100% pass rate. Anna Maryam from this school secured an outstanding score of 499 out of 500, or 99.8%, earning her the second rank nationally and the first rank in the district. Malavika A S and Charu Manav followed with scores of 497 and 495, respectively. Out of 163 students, 153 achieved distinctions and 10 secured first class, with 101 students scoring above 90%.
