Tamil Nadu Students Shine Light on Labor Through Lens
Students from government model schools across Tamil Nadu have turned photographers to tell powerful stories of labor. Their work captures the often unseen pain and dignity behind everyday jobs.
Stories from the Ground
The exhibition featured approximately 500 photographs taken by these young artists. Each image told a unique story. One photo showed an elderly mason working tirelessly at a brick kiln. Another depicted an ailing grandmother struggling with her daily tasks. A third highlighted a home-maker who also serves as her family's breadwinner, earning a living by selling beedis.

Training and Execution

The project culminated in a four-day exhibition that concluded on Sunday. It provided a platform for these young voices to be heard. Their photographs offered a raw and honest look at the lives of laborers in Tamil Nadu.
