Telangana State Board Declares Intermediate 2026 Examination Results
The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has officially announced the results for the Intermediate Public Examination (IPE) March 2026 session. The declaration was made from the board office in Hyderabad at precisely 11:00 AM today. Students from both the general and vocational streams who appeared for their first and second year examinations can now access their marks memo online through the official portals.
Girls Achieve Superior Performance in First Year Results
In the first year examinations, a clear academic trend has emerged with female students demonstrating remarkable performance. The overall pass percentage for first year stood at 66.20 percent. However, when broken down by gender, the figures reveal a substantial disparity. Girls achieved an impressive pass rate of 74.40 percent, while boys recorded 57.69 percent. This translates to a significant gap of over 16 percentage points between the two groups.
The numerical data further emphasizes this achievement. Out of 249,110 girls who appeared for the first year exams, 185,331 successfully passed. In comparison, among 240,013 boys who took the examinations, 138,475 managed to clear them.
Second Year Results Continue the Same Trend
The pattern of superior performance by female students persisted strongly in the second year results as well. The overall pass percentage for second year was recorded at 70.58 percent. Girls maintained their academic lead with a pass percentage of 78.65 percent, while boys achieved 62.50 percent.
The participation and success numbers for second year are equally telling. A total of 254,050 girls appeared for the second year examinations, with 199,813 passing successfully. Among boys, 253,898 appeared and 158,677 cleared the exams.
Consistent Performance Gap Across All Streams
The performance difference between girls and boys is not limited to any particular academic stream. Board data confirms that this trend is visible across both general and vocational streams in both first and second year examinations. Girls have maintained a clear and consistent lead over boys in pass percentage, indicating that this academic advantage is widespread and not confined to specific subject categories.
