UP Board Result 2026 Anticipated in Late April as Evaluation Wraps Up

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is poised to announce the UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 results for the 2026 academic session in the final week of April. While the board has not yet confirmed the precise date and time, an official notification is expected imminently, following the completion of the extensive evaluation process. Historically, results for both classes are declared simultaneously, and this year is likely to follow suit, with over 52 lakh registered students eagerly awaiting their outcomes.

Examination Schedule and Participation Details

The UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 examinations for the 2025-26 session were conducted from February 18 to March 12, 2026, in offline mode across Uttar Pradesh. Each paper lasted three hours and fifteen minutes, with exams held in two daily shifts: the morning shift from 8:30 am to 11:45 am and the afternoon shift from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. Out of more than 52 lakh students who registered, approximately 49.4 lakh appeared for the tests, reflecting a high participation rate.

Evaluation Process Completed After Minor Delays

The evaluation process commenced on March 18, 2026, with an initial target completion date of April 1. However, delays occurred due to holidays, including Eid ul Fitr on March 21 and Ram Navami on March 26-27. In response to requests from evaluation centres, UPMSP extended the deadline to April 4, and the work has now been fully concluded. Nearly 3 crore answer sheets were meticulously checked by around 1.5 lakh teachers across more than 250 centres, with over 21 lakh sheets evaluated in just the first two days alone.

How to Check Results and Access Marksheets

Once released, students can check their results on the official websites: upresults.nic.in and upmsp.edu.in. Additionally, scores will be accessible via DigiLocker, the Unified Mobile Application for New age Governance (UMANG) app, and the Times of India (TOI) result portal. To view results, students must enter their roll number and captcha code. It is advisable to download and print the provisional marksheet for future reference, as original marksheets will be distributed by schools at a later date.

Passing Criteria and Historical Performance Trends

To pass the UP Board exams, students must secure at least 33 percent marks in each subject and overall. Those failing in more than two subjects will be required to appear for compartment examinations. Reflecting on previous trends, last year's results showed a Class 10 pass percentage of 90.11 percent and Class 12 at 81.15 percent. Alongside the results, UPMSP will release comprehensive data, including toppers lists, district-wise performance, gender-wise statistics, and other key insights.

Advisory Against Cyber Fraud and Fake Announcements

In light of potential scams, UPMSP has issued an advisory warning students to be vigilant against cyber fraud and fake result announcements. Students are strongly urged to rely solely on official sources for updates and to avoid unofficial websites or apps that may disseminate misleading information.

As the anticipation builds, stakeholders are reminded to stay tuned to official channels for the latest developments regarding the UP Board Result 2026 declaration.
