UP Board Class 10 and 12 Results 2026 Scheduled for April 23 Release

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is set to declare the highly anticipated results for the Classes X and XII board examinations for the year 2026. According to an official announcement made by board secretary Bhagwati Singh, the results will be unveiled on April 23 at 4 PM from the board's headquarters located in Prayagraj.

In a move consistent with previous years, the UP Board will release the outcomes for both High School (Class 10) and Intermediate (Class 12) simultaneously. Students and parents can access their scores through multiple digital platforms to ensure convenience and widespread availability.

  • The primary portal for checking results will be the official website: www.upmsp.edu.in.
  • Additionally, scores will be accessible via the DigiLocker portal, aligning with the government's digital initiatives.

Secretary Singh emphasized that final technical verifications are currently in progress to guarantee a smooth and error-free declaration process, minimizing any potential disruptions for candidates.

Examination Statistics and Participation Details

This year's board examinations witnessed massive participation, with over 54 lakh students appearing across the state. Detailed registration data reveals that a total of 27,50,945 candidates enrolled for the High School exams, while 24,79,352 registered for the Intermediate level.

The examinations were conducted from February 18 to March 12, spanning all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. A network of 8,033 examination centers operated in two shifts to accommodate the vast number of test-takers.

However, not all registered candidates participated in the exams. Approximately 2.87 lakh students skipped the tests, including 1.61 lakh from High School and 1.26 lakh from Intermediate. The evaluation of answer sheets was completed efficiently between March 18 and April 4, involving nearly 1.53 lakh personnel, with about 83,800 serving as examiners.

Technological Enhancements and Transparency Measures

To bolster transparency and accuracy in the result declaration process, the UP Board implemented significant technical upgrades this year. A pilot project was introduced in five key districts: Prayagraj, Meerut, Bareilly, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur. In these regions, marks were uploaded using both conventional methods and advanced online systems, ensuring a dual-check mechanism to reduce errors and enhance reliability.

Recognition of Academic Excellence

Alongside the general results, the board will also release the much-anticipated list of toppers for both Classes X and XII. Students who secure top ranks will be honored by the state government, acknowledging their academic achievements and hard work.

Improved Efficiency in Result Declaration

Comparing with previous years, the UP Board has demonstrated enhanced operational efficiency. In 2025, the results were declared on April 25, setting a record for timely release. This year, the announcement is scheduled two days earlier, on April 23, reflecting streamlined processes and improved management within the board's administration.

As the declaration date approaches, students are advised to keep their roll numbers and other necessary details handy to facilitate quick access to their results. The board assures that all measures have been taken to ensure a seamless experience for the lakhs of candidates awaiting their scores.
