The approval followed some amendments and was presided over by Vice-Chancellor Milind Barhate, with the budget presented by Management Council member Avinash Borde. This financial plan, however, carries a deficit of Rs76.02 crore, reflecting ambitious investments in the university's future.

A major portion, Rs205.40 crore, has been allocated for recurring expenses, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the university.   • Infrastructure and Skill Development: The university has submitted proposals worth Rs121 crore to the government for various projects. Notable initiatives include a skill development centre at Melghat with proposed funding of Rs29.92 crore and a science centre allocated Rs17 crore. Additionally, Rs15.10 crore is provisioned for a synthetic track and football field, promoting sports infrastructure.
  • Academic and Administrative Support: Rs1.19 crore is set aside for the knowledge resource centre, Rs4.01 crore for sports activities, and Rs54.63 crore for general services and administration. The budget also includes Rs41.39 crore for development projects and Rs18.10 crore for the corpus fund, ensuring financial stability.

  • PM-USHA Scheme Utilization: Of the Rs20 crore received under the PM-USHA scheme for infrastructure development, Rs18.46 crore has been allotted, demonstrating efficient use of government funds.
  • Expansion and Cultural Projects: A sub-centre will be established at Akola with Rs6.87 crore allocated, alongside Rs1.98 crore for a museum, fostering regional outreach and cultural preservation.
