The much-awaited notification for the Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET) 2025 is now officially available. Andhra University in Visakhapatnam has published the announcement on behalf of the state government. This annual examination determines the eligibility of aspirants for the posts of Assistant Professor or Lecturer in universities and degree colleges across Andhra Pradesh.

Key Dates and Application Deadlines

The online registration portal for APSET 2025 will open on January 9, 2026. Candidates must submit their application forms on the official website, apset.net.in. The standard application window, without any late fee, will remain open until February 9, 2026.

For those who miss the initial deadline, a provision for late submission exists. Applications can be submitted with a late fee of ₹2,000 in addition to the regular fee until February 25, 2026. A final opportunity, with a higher late fee of ₹5,000, will be available until March 5, 2026. No applications will be entertained after this final date under any circumstances. Authorities advise candidates to complete the process well in advance to avoid technical or last-minute issues.

Examination Schedule and Hall Tickets

The APSET 2025 examination is slated to be held over two days: March 28 and March 29, 2026. The test will be conducted in multiple sessions across various examination centres in the state. The specific date, session timing, and centre address for each candidate will be mentioned on their admit card.

The hall tickets will be made available for download online a few days prior to the exam dates. It is mandatory for candidates to carry a printed copy of their hall ticket to the examination centre for verification. Admit cards can only be downloaded from the official APSET website.

Eligibility Criteria for Candidates

To be eligible for APSET 2025, a candidate must possess a Master's degree from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The minimum marks required differ by category:

  • General and EWS category candidates must have secured at least 55% marks in their Master's degree.
  • Candidates from SC, ST, BC, PwD, and Third Gender categories require a minimum of 50% marks.

Students who are currently in the final year of their Master's program are also permitted to apply provisionally. However, their final eligibility will be contingent upon them submitting proof of passing the qualifying examination with the required percentage within the stipulated timeframe set by the authorities.
