Bihar Engineering University Construction Enters Final Phase in Patna
The construction of Bihar Engineering University (BEU) in Mithapur, Patna, has reached its concluding stage, with the building construction department aiming to finalize the project by April this year. Officials have confirmed that the finishing work is currently underway and progressing according to the established schedule.

Developed at an investment of Rs66.92 crore on a sprawling area of nearly 5 acres, this university is poised to become a cornerstone of Bihar's technical education landscape. The project emphasizes quality construction and strict adherence to timelines, ensuring a robust infrastructure for future academic endeavors.

Kumar Ravi, secretary of the building construction department, recently stated, "The construction work is nearing completion. The finishing work is ongoing, and the project will be completed soon." He further highlighted that BEU will provide a strong platform for Bihar's technical education system, bringing greater transparency and efficiency to the functioning of engineering institutions and academic standards.
Modern Infrastructure and Facilities
The main university building has been designed as a multi-storey structure equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. The ground floor features the dean's office, registrar's office, storeroom, cafeteria, finance office, a double-height entry area, and washrooms, ensuring convenient access for students, faculty, and staff.
The first floor houses a meeting hall, vice chancellor (VC) office, and an evaluation centre. On the second floor, there are seven office rooms, one evaluation centre, six storerooms, and four scanning rooms. The third floor is designated for additional store and scanning rooms, along with five record rooms.
The fourth floor accommodates another evaluation centre, two large halls, a guest house, and caretaker accommodation. Officials have emphasized that the university is being equipped with modern technologies, focusing on creating a conducive environment for learning and administration.
