BSU is offering three distinct full-time programs designed to cater to various aspects of sports education:
- Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports (BPES): This is a comprehensive four-year undergraduate program meticulously structured in alignment with the National Education Policy 2020. It provides a robust foundation in physical education and sports sciences.
- Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Coaching (PGDSC): A focused one-year diploma program offering specializations in five major sports: athletics, cricket, basketball, volleyball, and kabaddi. This course is tailored for those aiming to pursue professional coaching careers.

Notably, the PGDSC program has earned additional recognition from the Sports Department of the Bihar Government. It has been deemed equivalent to the coaching courses conducted at premier national institutions, including the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports in Patiala and the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education in Gwalior.
