GITAM Hosts IIC Regional Innovation Meet 2025

Visakhapatnam's GITAM Deemed to be University is set to become the epicenter of innovation and entrepreneurship in Andhra Pradesh as it prepares to host the prestigious Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) Regional Meet 2025 on December 2. This significant gathering represents a crucial initiative under the Union education ministry's innovation cell and the All India Council for Technical Education.

Andhra Pradesh's Innovation Hub

GITAM University has been designated as the host center for Andhra Pradesh, representing the entire Andhra zone for this year's regional convergence. The institution will welcome a diverse group of participants including innovators, educators, ecosystem enablers, faculty coordinators, and student ambassadors from across the state. The primary objective is to strengthen and nurture the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within higher education institutions throughout the region.

The event promises to be a comprehensive platform featuring numerous IIC institutions from across Andhra Pradesh. Attendees can look forward to engaging in insightful discussions, witnessing innovation exhibitions, exploring startup showcases, and participating in idea presentations. The program also includes specialized training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities specifically designed to empower young innovators and institutional teams.

Distinguished Guests and Participants

The regional meet will be graced by several eminent personalities from the education and innovation sectors. Visakhapatnam district collector Harendhira Prasad will serve as the chief guest for the event, lending significant administrative support to the innovation initiative.

The special guests list features prominent figures including Sudhakar Potukuchi, CEO of the Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Dr. Ravi Eswarapu, CEO of RTIH, Visakhapatnam; and Dayakar S. Murthy, director of strategic partnerships at the Wadhwani Foundation. Adding to the distinguished gathering, Dr. Chandrasekhar Buddha, CEO of Anuvadini AI, ministry of education, and chief coordinating officer at AICTE will attend as the guest of honour.
