Lucknow University to Finally Launch Campus-Wide Open Wi-Fi Network After 13-Year Delay

A comprehensive survey is currently underway to identify optimal installation points for the Wi-Fi network. The project will officially proceed once the university submits an expression of interest to an Internet service provider. The computer science department and the works department have been assigned the responsibility of completing all necessary paperwork and identifying specific locations for the setup.

This Wi-Fi project has been pending at Lucknow University since 2011, making this announcement particularly significant after a 13-year delay. By 2019, over 80% of the initial Wi-Fi project had been completed, with connectivity originally planned for various departments, the library, and later the hostels.
