Key Dates and Faculty-Wise Schedule

The examination timetable reveals that major courses under the commerce faculty will commence their tests from April 1, 2026. This includes a large cohort of students from programs such as:

  • Third-year BCom
  • BCom (Financial Markets)
  • BCom (Banking and Insurance)
  • BCom (Accounting and Finance)
  • Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)

This schedule represents a slight shift from previous years, where exams typically began in the last week of March.

For the arts and science faculties, the final semester examinations for major papers are set to start from April 8, 2026. This batch includes students from diverse courses like BA, BAMMC, BSc, BSc-IT, BSc Computer Science, BSc Data Science, and BSc Biotechnology.

Digital Initiative for Early Access

A key highlight of this announcement is the university's digital system, developed by its examination department. This platform allows students to access their personalized exam details, including their specific seat number and allocated centre, a full four months in advance.

Students can visit the official MU digital portal and use the 'Know your exam venue' option to retrieve their information. The initiative is designed to reduce last-minute confusion and administrative hurdles, ensuring candidates can plan their travel and logistics efficiently.

The examinations will be conducted across a vast network of 896 centres spread throughout Mumbai. The university expects a total of 1.24 lakh (124,000) students to appear for the summer session, with the commerce faculty constituting the largest share, followed by science, arts, technology, and law students.
