Nagpur University Vice-Chancellor Addresses Exam Schedule Confusion

In a decisive statement on Tuesday, Vice-chancellor Manali Kshirsagar of Nagpur University firmly dismissed any confusion surrounding the institution's examination schedule. She asserted that there is "absolute clarity" regarding the conduct of supplementary and summer exams, emphasizing that timetables are being released in a phased and result-linked manner to ensure transparency and efficiency.

Clear Timelines for Supplementary and Summer Exams

Kshirsagar provided specific dates to alleviate student concerns. She confirmed that supplementary practical examinations are set to commence from April 15, while the summer theory exams are scheduled to begin from May 2, as per the revised academic calendar. "There is no confusion. The process is clear — supplementary exams start April 15 and summer theory begins from May 2. Timetables have been prepared and are being released logically alongside results," she stated, underscoring the university's organized approach.

Result-Dependent Timetable Release

The Vice-chancellor stressed that the publication of exam timetables is directly dependent on the declaration of results. "Students will get a preparation time of 15 to 20 days after their results," she explained, highlighting the university's commitment to providing adequate study periods. This phased release aims to prevent last-minute hassles and ensure that all students have sufficient time to prepare based on their individual result statuses.

Streamlined Application Process for Students

Kshirsagar also clarified the application procedures for the exams. She noted that students whose results have already been declared were permitted to fill out exam forms starting from March 23. For those awaiting results, she assured that they will be given a week to apply once the results are officially announced. "We cannot declare incomplete results. Accuracy is very critical and crucial, especially when handling thousands of entries from hard-copy records," she added, emphasizing the importance of precision in managing academic records to avoid errors and delays.

This comprehensive clarification from the Vice-chancellor aims to dispel any misinformation and provide students with a reliable roadmap for their upcoming examinations, ensuring a smooth and stress-free academic process at Nagpur University.
