The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially released the detailed schedule for NEET-PG 2025 counselling. This comprehensive plan covers the all-India quota, deemed universities, and state quotas. For Gujarat, the state-level Round 3 admissions are now scheduled to take place between January 27 and February 7.
Available Seats in Gujarat
Gujarat currently has 635 postgraduate medical seats open for allocation. This total breaks down into three main categories:
- 354 seats that remained vacant from previous rounds
- 163 seats that became available after candidates failed to report in earlier rounds
- 118 newly approved seats that have been added to the pool
Counselling Timeline and Deadlines
The official timeline for Round 3 under the all-India quota and deemed universities runs from January 15 to 29. Candidates who receive allotments through the all-India quota must complete their joining formalities by February 6. For those allotted seats under the state quota, the joining deadline is February 13.
Preventing Duplicate Admissions
To avoid duplicate admissions, the MCC will share data of joined candidates with state authorities on February 6 and 7. This coordination ensures that seats are properly allocated and prevents candidates from securing multiple admissions.
Stray Vacancy Rounds
Following the main rounds, the stray vacancy round for the all-India quota is scheduled for February 10 to 18. State-level stray rounds will then take place from February 16 to 20. The final deadline for all admissions has been set for February 28.
Academic Session and Working Days
Although the academic session officially commenced on December 22, the MCC has issued specific instructions to institutes. They must treat holidays and weekends as working days to ensure the remaining timeline is strictly maintained. This measure helps complete the admission process efficiently without unnecessary delays.
The release of this schedule provides much-needed clarity for medical aspirants across Gujarat and the country. Candidates should mark these dates carefully and prepare their documents accordingly to avoid missing crucial deadlines.
