The Notre Dame Academy Patna Alumni Association successfully organized its much-anticipated Alumni Meet 2025, proving that warmth of camaraderie can easily beat the winter chill. Themed "River Rendezvous," the picnic-style event witnessed a remarkable gathering of former students, celebrating the enduring spirit of the Notre Dame community.

Milestones and Honours at the Gathering

The event was marked by several significant announcements and felicitations. A major highlight was the official unveiling of the association's first international chapter in the United Kingdom, expanding the global network of Damians. The Millennium Batch of 2000 was felicitated on completing their silver jubilee, a nostalgic moment for many. In a special gesture, RK Poddar was honoured for his distinguished and long-standing service to the institution. The unwavering support from the Sisters and teachers of the academy was a key driver behind the enthusiastic participation.

Fun, Games, and Celebratory Spirit

True to its picnic theme, the 'River Rendezvous' was filled with lighthearted activities and games that brought back youthful energy. Attendees engaged in fun games like Spotting the Dolphin, My Picnic Basket, and Housie. The prestigious 'Star Alumni 2025 Award' was presented to Ragini Singh from the 1981 batch, recognizing her achievements and contributions. School Principal Sr Mary Neha emphasized that the event successfully strengthened community ties, fostered reconnections, and allowed everyone to relive cherished memories.

A Separate Christmas Celebration at Jesus and Mary Academy

In other news from Patna's educational circuit, the Jesus and Mary Academy held its Christmas celebration. The event commenced with a devotional prayer song, "Jhoomen Naachen Gaayen." Students from classes I and II performed a vibrant dance to "Jingle Bells," while girls sang beautiful carols like "Charvahe Naache Jhoom Ke" and "Jhoomo Naacho Khushi Se Aaj Yeshu Paida Hua." The miraculous birth of Jesus was portrayed through a tableau, accompanied by melodies of "Merry Christmas" and "Alleluia," filling the audience with joy. The sight of children dressed as Santa Claus added a magical feel to the school grounds. School director Ambrose Patrick and principal Pooja N Sharma shared reflections on Christmas's significance, spreading the message of love and peace.
