Odisha JEE 2026 Schedule Released: Exams Set for May 4-9

The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) for the year 2026 has been officially announced, with tentative dates scheduled from May 4 to May 9. This crucial examination serves as the gateway for admissions into a wide array of professional courses across the state, including medical, engineering, and other specialized programs.

Key Details and Application Process

According to the notification issued by the OJEE chairman on Wednesday, the examination will facilitate admissions not only to standard undergraduate programs but also to lateral entry courses for BTech and BPharm. In a significant update, the OJEE authorities have confirmed that the entrance test will be conducted entirely in computer-based test (CBT) mode for all courses, ensuring a modern and efficient assessment process.

The online application portal for OJEE 2026 is now active, allowing candidates to register for various courses such as:

  • MBA

Prospective students have until March 22 to complete their registration and submit the necessary documents. This extended window provides ample time for applicants to prepare and ensure their submissions are accurate.

Additional Examination and Admission Timeline

Officials have also indicated that a special OJEE entrance examination is likely to be conducted in June, offering another opportunity for candidates. To streamline the admission process, the Skill Development and Technical Education Department has set a clear timeline:

  1. Counselling for OJEE 2026 will conclude by July 31.
  2. Admissions are scheduled to commence from August 1.
  3. The entire admission process will be finalized by August 15.

Previous Year's Performance and Expectations

Reflecting on the previous edition, OJEE 2025 witnessed impressive participation, with nearly 80,000 candidates appearing for the examination.
