The institution celebrated its eighth annual convocation, a landmark event that also coincided with its tenth anniversary since establishment. This dual celebration highlighted a decade of significant academic growth and transformative impact in the education sector.

A Grand Celebration of Academic Excellence

The convocation ceremony was a grand affair, bringing together students, proud parents, faculty members, and distinguished corporate partners from across India and abroad. The core of the celebration was the conferral of degrees to an impressive 4,953 students from the Class of 2025. The graduating cohort included:

  • 3,686 undergraduate students
  • 1,233 postgraduate students
  • 34 PhD scholars
  • 32 gold medal recipients who were honored for their exceptional academic performance.

Inspiring Addresses from Distinguished Leaders

The ceremony gained immense prestige from the presence and speeches of notable figures from the education and edtech world. Ronnie Screwvala, Co-founder and Chairman of the leading higher edtech platform Upgrad, delivered an inspiring address. He commended the university's lush green campus and its focus on holistic, multidisciplinary learning.

Speaking directly to the graduates, Screwvala encouraged them to "dare to dream" and to view setbacks as learning opportunities. He urged the youth to actively seize emerging opportunities and contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, stepping forward as focused, purposeful leaders with a nation-first mindset.

Dilip Thakore, Publisher and Editor of EducationWorld, delivered the keynote address. He reflected on the dynamic global education landscape and the pivotal role of India's youth. Thakore applauded Presidency University's rapid rise in national rankings, stating, "Karnataka is proud to have universities like Presidency University, which has been leading in all rankings and creating a niche for itself by offering multiple disciplines in one composite campus."

Adding an emotional layer to the proceedings, the former Founding Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Prof. Ramachandran, addressed the gathering. The convocation was presided over by the university's leadership, including Honourable Chancellor Dr. Nissar Ahmed, Vice Chancellor (In-charge) Dr. Thiruvengadam, Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Vidya Shetty, and Registrar Dr. Sameena Noor Ahmed Panali, who ceremoniously led the Convocation Procession.
