The institution is recognised by the National Medical Commission and affiliated with Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences in Guwahati.

The college currently admits 100 MBBS students annually, with a campus built at an approximate cost of Rs 350 crore spread over 58 acres. It boasts modern educational infrastructure, including:

  • Digital lecture halls
  • Skill laboratories
  • Student hostels

Established to address the increasing healthcare and medical education demands of upper Assam and surrounding areas, TMCH aims to be a pivotal centre for medical training.

Future Vision and Commitment

Principal Dr. Rupak Kumar Gogoi, in his speech, emphasised the institution's dedication to nurturing doctors equipped with both skill and compassion. He expressed confidence that TMCH would evolve into a major hub for medical education in the region, contributing significantly to public health services.

This foundation day celebration not only honoured academic excellence but also reinforced TMCH's role in advancing medical education and healthcare accessibility in Assam, marking a milestone in its journey towards regional prominence.
