Ajaz Khan Issues Open Threat to Comedian Samay Raina Over Amitabh Bachchan Jokes
Controversial TV personality Ajaz Khan has issued a stern warning to comedian Samay Raina following jokes made about Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan during Raina's stand-up special Still Alive. Khan claimed that Bachchan's fans are actively searching for Raina and advised him to stay away from public view.
Samay Raina's Controversial KBC Jokes Revealed
During his recent stand-up performance, Samay Raina recalled his appearance on the popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati and admitted he had several "ulta seedha" (inappropriate) thoughts that he chose not to voice on air. However, he shared one joke he deliberately withheld: "Sir, aapne itna polio ka ad kiya, phir bhi apne bete ko paon pe kyu nahi khada kar paye sir?" which translates to "Sir, you did so many polio awareness ads, yet why couldn't you help your own son stand on his feet?"
Raina also confessed to fabricating a story about his grandmother being a devoted fan of Amitabh Bachchan during the show. He revealed: "Dadi mar gayi hai meri. 7 saal ho gaye hain mere dadi ko mar ke. Waha maine kiya – Sir dadi meri aapki bhot badi fan hai," meaning "My grandmother has passed away. It's been 7 years since she died. But there I said, 'Sir, my grandmother is a huge fan of yours.'"
Ajaz Khan's Fiery Warning to Samay Raina
In an interview with TellyChakkar, Ajaz Khan expressed strong disapproval of Raina's comedic material targeting the Bachchan family. Khan stated: "Aab iss badtameez aadmi ko main kya bolu? Yeh apne maa baap se bhi aise hi baat karta hoga shayad. Hindustan ke itne bade mahanayak Amitabh Bachchan sahab, jisne Hindustan ko sadiyoon se entertain kiya, aaj unko, unke wife ko, unke bacche ko koi bhi aake kuch bole jaa raha hai."
This translates to: "Now what am I even supposed to say to this ill-mannered man? Maybe he speaks to his own parents like this too. Amitabh Bachchan sir is such a great legend of India—he has entertained the country for decades—and today, anyone just comes and says anything about him, his wife, and his child."
Khan issued a direct threat to Raina, declaring: "Samay Raina, tera samay kharab chalu ho gaya aaj se. Mujhe dikhna bhi mat tu. Main toh Bachchan sahab ka bahut bada fan hu. Bahut saare fan hai Bachchan sahab ke jo tujhe dhoond rahe hai abhi. Beta tu thoda izzat se chal." This means: "Samay Raina, your bad time has started from today. Don't even show your face to me. I am a huge fan of Bachchan sir, and there are many fans like me who are now looking for you. Son, you should carry yourself with some respect."
The TV personality further warned: "Mujhe mat dikhna kahin par tu, jidhar dikha udhar tera kaan check karunga main. Yaad rakhna," which translates to: "Don't show yourself anywhere in front of me—wherever I see you, I'll grab you by the ear. Remember that."
Mukesh Khanna Joins Criticism Against Samay Raina
Adding to the controversy, veteran actor Mukesh Khanna also criticized Samay Raina for his comments. Khanna shared an edited image on social media showing Raina sitting on a donkey with his face blackened, accompanied by a caption: "Samay Raina tu sirf gadhe par baithne ke layak hai voh bhi muhh kala karke," meaning "Samay Raina, you're only fit to sit on a donkey—and that too with your face blackened."
In a fiery follow-up statement, Khanna added: "Kutte ki dum tedhi rehti hai. Use lakh sheeshiyon mein rakho. Bahar nikaalo. Phir tedhi ki tedhi!! Samay Raina ki bhi ek dum hai. Kitna bhi maaro, seedha karo, woh wapas tedhi ho jaati hai. Kyonki woh seedha saada praani nahin hai. Woh roasted praani hai. Gandagi ki aag mein jalaya hua, pakaya hua."
This translates to: "A dog's tail always stays crooked. Keep it in a thousand tubes, take it out—and it's still crooked. Samay Raina is just like that. No matter how much you try to straighten him, he goes back to being the same. Because he's not a simple, straightforward person—he's a 'roasted' one, burned and cooked in the fire of filth."
The controversy highlights ongoing tensions between comedians pushing boundaries with celebrity humor and defenders of established Bollywood icons. Samay Raina's Still Alive special continues to generate significant discussion across entertainment circles, with reactions ranging from amusement to outright condemnation from various industry figures.
