Ajinkya Deo's Heartfelt Praise for Ranbir Kapoor
In a recent interview, veteran actor Ajinkya Deo, who is set to play the role of Guru Vishwamitra in Nitesh Tiwari's highly anticipated epic 'Ramayana', shared glowing compliments about his co-star Ranbir Kapoor. Deo revealed that Kapoor, who portrays Lord Ram in the film, made him feel exceptionally comfortable on set.
Behind the Scenes of Ramayana
Recalling their interactions, Ajinkya Deo mentioned how Ranbir would often appreciate his work, saying things like, 'Sir, beautiful shot, yaar. I mean, I loved it, yaar.' He also shared a moment where Kapoor complimented his youthful appearance and fitness, to which Deo humbly responded that his own physique was nothing compared to Ranbir's. Ranbir Kapoor replied, 'No sir, aapki age tak pata nahi mera kya hone waala hai', showing his respect for the senior actor.
A Pure-Hearted Co-Star
Deo emphasized that Ranbir is 'very, very, very pure at heart' and possesses no filters, which makes him authentic both on and off screen. He believes this genuine nature allows Kapoor to have an immediate direct connect with the audiences, unlike some stars of the past who maintained more screens or filters. This authenticity, according to Deo, contributes significantly to Kapoor's on-screen effectiveness.
The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Yash as Ravan, Ravi Dubey as Lakshaman, and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. Supporting roles feature Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh, Kunal Kapoor, Lara Dutta, Arun Govil, and Sheeba Chadha. Ramayana is scheduled for a two-part release on Diwali 2026 and Diwali 2027, making it one of the most awaited cinematic projects in Indian cinema.
