Alia Bhatt Focuses on One Film at a Time, Calls Love and War with Bhansali 'Treasured'
Alia Bhatt: One Film at a Time, Bhansali Experience 'Treasured'

Bollywood superstar Alia Bhatt is ushering in the new year with a renewed focus, choosing to dedicate her energy to one cinematic project at a time. This conscious shift allows her to immerse herself fully in her work while also being a present, hands-on mother to her daughter, Raha. As 2026 dawns, Bhatt is eagerly anticipating the release of her two highly awaited films: Alpha and Love and War.

A Strategic Shift in Career Pace

Gone are the days of juggling multiple film sets simultaneously for the actor. Alia Bhatt has consciously decided to slow down her pace, focusing her creative energies on one project at a time. This strategy, she shared, enables her to give her absolute best to the film she is working on while maintaining a balanced personal life. "I am enjoying the pace at which I work now," Bhatt stated, emphasizing how it allows for complete devotion to the task at hand. This mindful approach marks a significant evolution from her early years in the Hindi film industry.

Double Delight for 2026: Alpha and Love and War

The actor has two major films lined up for release in 2026, each generating immense buzz for different reasons. The first is Shiv Rawail's Alpha, which will feature Alia Bhatt and Sharvari leading the first female-fronted installment in the popular YRF Spy Universe. Bhatt considers this her first proper foray into the action genre, clarifying that her role in the Hollywood film Heart of Stone (2023) did not involve extensive stunt work. She revealed that performing action sequences after childbirth was a significant learning experience, helping her understand the new capabilities of her body.

Her second project is the cinematic event Love and War, directed by the maestro Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film marks her on-screen reunion with her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor, and also features Vicky Kaushal in a pivotal role. Bhatt expressed equal excitement for both projects, noting that Love and War offers the special joy of collaborating with three of her favourite people: Ranbir, Sanjay, and Vicky.

The 'Treasured' Experience of Working with Bhansali

Describing Love and War as a "very special film," Alia Bhatt opened up about the unique atmosphere on set. She called it one of those rare projects where work never feels tiring and the heart constantly yearns for more time on the floor. Reflecting on her collaboration with Bhansali, which previously earned her a National Film Award for Best Actress for Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022), Bhatt termed the experience "deeply collaborative" and "treasured."

"He manages to infuse magic into every moment," she said about the director. She described the set's mood as "quiet and focused," leading to an incredibly fulfilling creative journey. Bhatt also shared a key lesson from her Gangubai days: "What I learned on the Gangubai set was to walk in every day with a blank slate and a blank mind. That element of surprise is something Sanjay sir thrives on, and it teaches you to surrender completely to the process." This philosophy of creative surrender, she suggests, is central to the magical and treasured experience of working under Bhansali's direction once again.

As Alia Bhatt balances her stellar career with motherhood, her fans worldwide eagerly await the dual spectacle she promises to deliver in 2026—a high-octane spy thriller and an epic Bhansali romance.
