Veteran actor Anupam Kher recently took a nostalgic trip down memory lane as he visited the railway track where the iconic train scene from the classic Bollywood film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) was shot. The actor, who played the role of Shah Rukh Khan's father in the movie, urged the government to develop the location into a tourist attraction.

A Trip to Apta Railway Station

On Monday, Kher shared a video on his Instagram handle from Apta Railway Station, the site where the memorable sequence featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol was filmed. In the video, he expressed his belief that every Indian around the world is familiar with the train scene from the 1995 film, directed by Aditya Chopra. "I have come to a railway station, an iconic scene of an iconic film was shot here. It is Indian cinema history that every Indian all over the world must have seen and remembered," he said.

He further compared the location to iconic sites like Sicily for The Godfather, emphasizing its cultural significance. "These are iconic places... Thankful to Yash ji (Yash Chopra) and Adi (Aditya Chopra) for having me in this iconic film," he added.
