Arpit Bala Breaks Silence on Viral Hyderabad Concert Clash
Singer Arpit Bala has finally spoken out after a video from his Hyderabad performance went viral, capturing a heated onstage confrontation with a fan. The incident occurred during his March 28 gig when a bottle was hurled at the stage mid-song.
Details of the Onstage Incident
Footage from the event shows Bala becoming visibly furious after being struck. He pointed out the culprit, tossed the bottle back toward the audience, and called security to eject the fan from the venue. The singer has now addressed the controversy in a detailed video posted on his YouTube channel.
Bala's Perspective on the Matter
In his video statement, Bala clarified that he was not offering an explanation but simply sharing his side of the story. "It's not an explanation, but I want you to see my side of the story," he began. "Everything was fine for the first four songs; everybody was enjoying. Then suddenly, while I was walking, a bottle came and hit me in the eye."
He emphasized that this was not an isolated incident, revealing that one or two bottles had been thrown earlier. "The problem isn't just that it hit me, but that they had already thrown one or two bottles before. When it hit my eye, it broke my flow, and I got angry," Bala explained.
Addressing Anger and Safety Concerns
Bala reflected on whether his reaction was justified, acknowledging that he could have been the bigger person but noting the difficulty in such situations. "What I said or did in anger... was it justified? In a way, you could say I should have been the bigger person, but that's easier said when someone is provoking you," he stated.
He framed the incident as a serious safety issue rather than mere disrespect. "I was hit in the face, and it was not even disrespectful; it was just a safety hazard. My face is not a bullseye," Bala added, highlighting the physical danger posed by such actions.
Admission of Impulsive Reaction
The singer admitted that his response was knee-jerk and driven by anger. "Out of impulse, I lashed out at them... I shouldn't have done that," he confessed. However, he stressed that fans crossing boundaries cannot expect leniency. "But when you cross boundaries, you can't expect me to dilly-dally about it," Bala asserted, defending his stance against unacceptable behavior.
