Bhansali's 'Love & War' Cast Reunites June 18 for Song

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's highly anticipated period drama 'Love & War' is steadily approaching completion. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles, the film has generated significant excitement since its announcement. Now, as production enters its final phase, the lead cast is set to reunite on June 18 for one of the project's most extensive filming schedules.

Grand Song Sequence to Be Filmed

According to a report by Mid-Day, the upcoming schedule revolves around a lavish song sequence expected to be filmed over several days. The shoot was initially scheduled to commence on June 8, but preparations behind the scenes required additional time. The sequence is being designed as a spectacle. It was originally set to kick off on June 8 but is now starting on the 18th at Royal Palms. Extensive groundwork was needed before cameras could roll. The choreography, costumes, and production design have been in preparation for weeks. The scale is enormous, even by Sanjay Leela Bhansali standards. Every frame has been meticulously storyboarded, which is why the shoot was pushed by two weeks.

Release Plans Shifted

While anticipation for 'Love & War' continues to grow, the film's release timeline has changed. Bhansali had originally planned to bring the film to audiences in summer 2026. However, production delays altered those plans, pushing the release to January 21, 2027. Ranbir Kapoor addressed the postponement during an Instagram Live session, revealing that the film would arrive in cinemas after the release of 'Ramayana Part One', expected in October.

Strict Confidentiality Measures

The makers are reportedly taking extraordinary measures to prevent leaks from the set. According to reports, confidentiality agreements have become a major part of production. Over 500 NDAs have already been signed or are in process, ensuring that information, visuals, or material from the sets do not become public. The strict protocols underline the scale and secrecy surrounding one of Bollywood's most anticipated productions.

Alia Bhatt Excited for Collaboration

As stated by Mid-Day, Alia Bhatt recently shared her enthusiasm about being part of the ambitious project and spoke about the creative combinations the film brings together. Discussing Bhansali's reunion with Ranbir Kapoor, she said, “I, as an audience, am more excited to see him [Bhansali] and Ranbir collaborate again after so many years. I am like, ‘Wow, what’s that going to be like?’” The actress also expressed excitement about sharing screen space with Vicky Kaushal again. “Vicky and I coming together again; Ranbir and Vicky created magic with 'Sanju'. So, it is a lot of combinations,” she said.

Busy Line-Up for the Stars

Apart from 'Love & War', all three actors have major projects lined up. Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for the release of 'Ramayana Part One', while Alia Bhatt awaits the spy thriller 'Alpha', co-starring Sharvari. Vicky Kaushal is preparing to begin work on 'Mahavatar', where he will portray Chiranjeevi Parashurama. With its star-studded cast, Bhansali's signature grandeur, and ambitious production scale, 'Love & War' remains one of the most closely watched Bollywood projects currently in development.
