Dhurandhar 2 Fitness Trainer Exposes Bollywood Stars' Surprising Eating Habits
The blockbuster success of Dhurandhar 2 continues to dominate conversations, with fans showering praise on every aspect of the film. While Ranveer Singh's powerhouse performance has captured headlines, the supporting cast has received equally enthusiastic appreciation from audiences nationwide. Among them is Mustafa Ahmed, who delivered a memorable performance as Rizwan, but whose journey to the silver screen began in the fitness world.
From Fitness Trainer to Film Actor: Mustafa Ahmed's Unique Journey
Mustafa Ahmed, who transitioned from training Bollywood's biggest stars to sharing screen space with them, recently opened up about his remarkable career shift during an exclusive conversation with Hindustan Times. Before his acting debut in Dhurandhar 2, Mustafa established himself as one of the industry's most sought-after fitness trainers, working with elite actors including Hrithik Roshan and Vicky Kaushal, and ultimately preparing Ranveer Singh for his physically demanding role.
The revelation that surprised many was Mustafa's insight into the eating habits of these celebrated actors, challenging common perceptions about celebrity diets and fitness regimes.
Hrithik Roshan's Legendary Appetite Revealed
Mustafa shared astonishing details about Hrithik Roshan's relationship with food, stating, "All of them are foodies. Right from Hrithik Roshan. He can eat! I've seen him eat 13-14 ghee waali chapatis and he only stopped eating because the next chapati took time to be brought to him. He's an absolute foodie."
This revelation provides a fascinating glimpse into how one of Bollywood's most physically disciplined stars maintains his legendary physique while enjoying substantial meals, breaking the stereotype that top actors follow extremely restrictive diets.
Vicky Kaushal's Remarkable Metabolism
Discussing Vicky Kaushal, whom Mustafa was originally scheduled to train for the shelved project Ashwatthama, the trainer expressed amazement at the actor's digestive capabilities. "Vicky Kaushal can eat a brick and digest it. I don't know what kind of metabolism he has. It's so difficult to make him put on weight or put on muscle. You know, Vicky can just eat anything and just digest it."
This insight highlights the genetic advantages some individuals possess, explaining how certain actors maintain their physiques despite seemingly indulgent eating patterns.
Yami Gautam and Ranveer Singh's Food Preferences
Mustafa also shed light on the culinary preferences of Yami Gautam and Ranveer Singh, noting, "Yami Gautam loves her chai and ghar ka khana. I can tell you that when it comes to Nutella, Ranveer Singh can sniff it out. He will just go and find where Nutella is."
Interestingly, Ranveer's enthusiastic approach to food became a crucial component of his physical transformation for Dhurandhar 2. Mustafa explained how director Aditya Dhar's vision required Ranveer to achieve a specific physical presence.
Ranveer Singh's Dramatic Physical Transformation
"It was Aditya Dhar sir's instruction that Ranveer has to look like a beast in Dhurandhar, but he cannot be stiff. We had a very short period of time before shooting began and Ranveer was only 75-76 kgs. On the first shoot day, he was 87 kgs. We had to eat a lot!" Mustafa revealed.
Praising Ranveer's extraordinary dedication, the trainer added, "Ranveer is a treat to train. The world knows of his energy. He enjoys weight training. In Ranveer's words, 'Sir, loha todte hain.' Two training sessions a day, for about four to five weeks. That's how we got Ranveer to look like a man who can rip a person apart with his hand."
Mustafa's Association with Aditya Dhar and Bollywood Breakthrough
Opening up about his professional relationship with director Aditya Dhar, Mustafa shared, "I actually have been training a lot of artists in Aditya sir's projects. I trained Manav Kaul, I trained Yami Gautam. I was initially hired to train Vicky for Ashwatthama, that got shelved. That's how my relationship with him started."
The trainer-turned-actor continued, "And then of course, over the years, I expressed to him that I was a very big fan of his work, Uri is one of my all-time favourite movies. And I asked him if there was ever an opportunity where I can maybe just even hold a gun and stand in a frame somewhere, I'd be very happy. I think he probably saw something, he saw that I probably can act."
This candid admission reveals how passion, persistence, and professional relationships can create unexpected opportunities in the competitive world of Bollywood, transforming a fitness expert into a recognized screen presence.
