In a deeply personal and emotional pilgrimage, Malayalam film actor Dileep visited the sacred Sabarimala temple in Kerala. The actor clarified that his journey was not for publicity or celebration but was driven solely by a vow for the well-being of his mother, who is in grave health.
A Pilgrimage for His Mother's Health
Speaking to the media at Sabarimala, Dileep revealed the critical condition of his mother. He stated that she is unable to recognize people and requires constant care. His visit was specifically to request special prayers for her recovery.
"My mother is very unwell. She has fallen three times," Dileep told Manorama Online. He explained that he had entrusted her care to someone and was waiting to meet Thantri Kandaru Mahesh Mohanar to ask for special prayers during the noon pooja. The actor emphasized that this act of devotion was a personal vow made only for his mother's health.
Addressing Media Harassment Post-Acquittal
Beyond his family concerns, Dileep also spoke about the ongoing stress he faces from media scrutiny, even after being acquitted by the court in a high-profile case. He expressed his frustration, asking, "Everyone is harassing me. So many false things are being spread. Don’t I deserve at least a little justice?"
The actor mentioned that he generally avoids speaking to the media and only agreed to talk on this occasion while he was waiting to meet the Thantri, highlighting the personal nature of his visit.
Devotion and Darshan at Sabarimala
Dileep described himself as a devoted follower of Lord Ayyappa. He addressed a minor controversy from his visit the previous year, noting that this time he had properly booked the offering. He reached Pampa at 8:30 am, undertook the climb to the temple on foot, and had his darshan through the staff gate. Following the darshan, he met with the Melshanthi and the Thantri to finalize the details of the pooja.
Upcoming Film 'Bha.Bha.Ba.'
Amid these personal trials, Dileep's professional life moves forward. His much-awaited film, 'Bha.Bha.Ba.', is scheduled for release on December 18. The first single from the movie, titled 'Azhinjattam', has already been released. The song, composed by Shaan Rahman and sung by MG Sreekumar, Vineeth Sreenivasan, and Niranj Suresh, has received a mixed response from audiences. The lyrical video was shared online by superstar Mohanlal via his social media handles.
