Dipika Kakar Discharged After Successful Cyst Removal Surgery
Television actress Dipika Kakar has been discharged from the hospital following a successful surgery to remove a cyst from her liver. Her husband, actor Shoaib Ibrahim, has been diligently updating fans on her health journey through vlogs, providing intimate glimpses into her recovery process.
Emotional Hospital Reunion with Family
In a recent vlog shared by Shoaib Ibrahim, Dipika Kakar was seen in significantly improved condition compared to earlier posts. The emotional highlight came when her mother-in-law visited the hospital. Upon seeing her, Dipika broke down into tears, overwhelmed by the support and care. Her mother-in-law responded with comforting gestures, kissing her on the forehead to reassure her during this challenging time.
Family Support System in Full Force
Shoaib's mother, sister Saba, brother-in-law, and their son all visited Dipika in the hospital, demonstrating the strong family bond. Later, Dipika's own mother and her son Ruhaan arrived. The young boy immediately noticed the medical equipment on his mother's hand, asking about the drips and syringe. Dipika expressed that despite the intense pain, seeing her family and children made her feel much better.
Recovery Milestones and Pain Management
Dipika took her first steps after surgery with Shoaib's assistance, initially struggling due to pain but gathering courage to walk a few steps. The family observed iftar together at the hospital, breaking their fast with prayers followed by fruits, dates, and beverages.
Reflecting on her experience, Dipika shared: "It's much better than yesterday. But when I woke up yesterday, oh God... that moment will stay with me. The pain was very intense. I'm eating my food now. Everything that was inside has been taken care of."
She expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from fans and well-wishers, saying their prayers meant a great deal to her during this difficult period.
Shoaib Ibrahim's Tribute to His Wife's Strength
Shoaib praised Dipika's resilience, stating: "She is very strong. Yesterday, I saw her soon after the surgery. When I saw her just half an hour after the surgery, she was in a lot of pain. When anesthesia starts wearing off and you regain consciousness, the pain can be intense. If you imagine burning your skin, that's how severe it feels. She was going through that, but she remained brave. She is strong, an example and an inspiration."
Future Treatment and Lifestyle Changes
The recovery journey continues with several important next steps:
- Dipika will return next week for comprehensive blood tests including CBC and other reports
- She will consult with Dr. Imran to determine the next phase of treatment
- Treatment options may include continuing target therapy or beginning oral chemotherapy, depending on test results
- She will be on antibiotics for one week initially
Dietary and Lifestyle Modifications Planned
The couple has planned significant lifestyle changes for Dipika's ongoing health management. Her diet will be modified with expert consultation, potentially eliminating certain elements. Shoaib mentioned that many well-wishers have suggested she quit tea consumption, which she doesn't drink much of but could stop entirely as part of her new regimen.
The family expressed gratitude for crossing this medical hurdle and requested continued prayers as they navigate the next stages of Dipika's recovery and treatment plan.
