Farhan Akhtar's Mumbai Bungalow Tour with Farah Khan Reveals Stunning Design
Farhan Akhtar's Mumbai Bungalow Tour with Farah Khan

Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar and his wife Shibani Dandekar have opened the doors of their magnificent Mumbai bungalow to filmmaker Farah Khan, giving fans a rare glimpse into their beautifully designed sanctuary in Bandstand. The recent visit by Farhan's cousin revealed why she described their residence as nothing less than an "Alishan bungalow."

Exterior Charm and Welcoming Entrance

The house tour begins with the exterior presentation of the property, which immediately creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The entrance features abundant greenery with numerous plants that generate a fresh and calming environment from the moment guests arrive. A distinctive wood-panelled doorway adds character and elegance, perfectly setting the stage for the sophisticated interiors that follow.

Interior Design Philosophy: Minimalism Meets Warmth

Inside the bungalow, the design aesthetic showcases a perfect balance between minimalism and personality. The walls are painted in cream-white tones that make the entire space appear bright, spacious, and incredibly peaceful. This light color scheme is beautifully complemented by dark-wood panelling that adds depth, warmth, and an element of classic elegance to the contemporary design.

One of the most striking features of the Akhtar-Dandekar home is the abundant natural light that flows throughout the space. French-style windows and generously sized open areas allow sunlight to illuminate every corner, enhancing the colors of the art pieces and decorative elements. The thoughtful design ensures the home remains bright and airy throughout the day.

Functional Spaces and Personal Touches

During the tour, Farhan welcomed Farah Khan on the ground floor before guiding her to the upper level, which houses some of the property's most impressive areas. These include a dedicated home theatre designed for perfect movie nights, a charming open space designed like a gazebo, and an elegant dining area. Large balconies facilitate the spread of warm daylight across the interiors, maintaining the home's bright and airy ambiance.

Every element within the bungalow reflects Farhan and Shibani's personal style—modern yet peaceful, creative yet thoughtful. The overall atmosphere demonstrates how the couple has successfully created a living space that combines aesthetic appeal with comfort and functionality.

Upcoming Professional Project

On the professional front, Farhan Akhtar will next appear in '120 Bahadur', where he portrays Major Shaitan Singh Bhati. The film is directed by Razneesh "Razy" Ghai and features an ensemble cast including Raashii Khanna, Ajinkya Ramesh Deo, Eijaz Khan, and Vivan Bhathena. The production is scheduled for release on November 21, 2025.
