"I never truly aspired to be a conventional heroine," Jalal admitted. "During that era, heroines were often relegated to singing songs and wearing glamorous outfits. In contrast, sister characters were entrusted with substantial dramatic scenes that allowed me to showcase my acting prowess."
She elaborated further, "When presented with the option between performing impactful dramatic sequences or merely wearing chiffon saris and singing, the choice was clear. Why should I be concerned with superficial roles when I could deliver powerful performances as a sister? If a role provides more depth and creative satisfaction, why wouldn't I embrace it?"
