John Abraham's Extreme Diet Leaves Him Unable to Digest Common Vegetables
Bollywood star John Abraham follows such a strict dietary regimen that his body now rejects normal foods like bhindi and baingan. His celebrity fitness trainer Vinod Channa recently disclosed this surprising detail about the actor's eating habits.
Years of Sugar-Free Living
Vinod Channa, who trains several Bollywood celebrities including the Ambani family, explained that John Abraham hasn't consumed sugar for years. The trainer revealed that even if he personally asked John to have something sweet, the actor would refuse completely.
"John was an egalitarian," Channa told Hindi Rush. "If I would tell him to only eat four types of food, he would eat only that. He won't even touch anything else. He is that strict."
The Body's Adaptation to Extreme Dieting
Channa shared a fascinating insight about how prolonged dietary restrictions affect digestion. "John has been dieting for so long that now if you give him baingan or bhindi, his stomach will get upset," the trainer explained.
He elaborated further: "He has not eaten this for so long. Your body adapts to that but if that thing comes in your food sometime, then the body won't be able to digest it."
A Story of Unwavering Discipline
The trainer recalled a specific incident that demonstrated John's commitment. During a film shoot, a foreign princess who knew John attended a dinner where all food was finished. She claimed John had eaten everything, but Channa knew better.
"I told her I am 100 percent confident that John is not even going to touch the food," Channa remembered. His confidence proved correct as John maintained his dietary restrictions despite the social situation.
Shilpa Shetty's Remarkable Transformation
Channa also discussed working with Shilpa Shetty after her pregnancy. "When Shilpa Shetty came to me post-pregnancy, she had put on 30-35 kgs," he revealed.
The trainer helped her lose all the weight naturally within just three months. She then appeared on the reality show Nach Baliye, where some viewers speculated she had undergone medical procedures.
"Nobody talks about the hard work that we did," Channa noted. "A lot of people believe it and a lot of people don't. It was a natural process."
The Risks of Complete Sugar Avoidance
Interestingly, Channa actually advises against completely eliminating sugar from one's diet. He warned that if someone who never eats sugar accidentally consumes it, they might develop a cough or other reactions.
This professional perspective adds nuance to the discussion about extreme dietary practices in the entertainment industry.
