For those unfamiliar with his background, Krishna Kumar began his career as a television news presenter for Doordarshan before transitioning to acting. His first acting opportunity came while he was working at the national broadcaster, landing a role as Nedumudi Venu's son in a serial produced for DD Malayalam.

His television career continued to flourish with his participation in the popular show 'Sthree,' which aired from 1998 to 2000. Krishna then made his cinematic debut in the 1994 Malayalam film 'Kashmeeram,' marking his entry into the film industry.

Expanding his horizons beyond Mollywood, Krishna Kumar ventured into Tamil cinema with notable appearances in films including 'Billa II,' 'Deivathirumagal,' and 'Mugamoodi,' among others.

Political Transition and BJP Affiliation

In February 2021, Krishna Kumar made a significant career shift by entering politics and joining the Bharatiya Janata Party. His political journey saw him become the party's candidate from the Thiruvananthapuram constituency during the 2021 Kerala Legislative Assembly election.

Following his electoral participation, Krishna Kumar was elected as a member of the BJP national council from Kerala, solidifying his position within the party's organizational structure and marking his continued commitment to political service alongside his entertainment background.
