Madhubanti Bagchi Reveals Initial Hesitation to Star in 'Shararat' Music Video
The chartbuster track 'Shararat' from the Ranveer Singh-led blockbuster film 'Dhurandhar' has captivated audiences since its theatrical release. Featuring Ayesha Khan and Krystle D'Souza, the song was crooned by vocalists Madhubanti Bagchi and Jasmine Sandlas, who also made appearances in the movie itself. In a recent revelation, Madhubanti Bagchi opened up about her initial reluctance to feature in the music video for this hit song.
Madhubanti Bagchi's Hesitation and Conversation with Filmmaker
During a roundtable discussion on FEVER FM, Madhubanti Bagchi shared insights into how she became part of the song's visual presentation. She expressed, "I was hesitant. I am just extremely hesitant about everything other than going to the studio or staying at home." The singer elaborated that she tends to question activities outside her comfort zone, leading her to inquire with 'Dhurandhar' director Aditya Dhar about the necessity of including singers in the video when actors and dancers were already part of the frame.
Madhubanti recounted, "He was so convinced about what he wants to do so there is not much that you can protest about. He said I want this and I said okay!" However, she did impose one specific condition before agreeing to participate. She revealed, "My only condition was that, 'Do not make me dance!' Because I don't want people to see that! (laughs)" This humorous stipulation highlights her preference for staying behind the scenes as a vocalist rather than taking on a performance role.
