Bollywood actor and dancer Nora Fatehi has issued a powerful and emotional denial on social media after her name surfaced in connection with a major drug syndicate investigation allegedly linked to underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim.
Nora Fatehi's Strong Social Media Rebuttal
Taking to her official Instagram account, Fatehi categorically denied any involvement in the alleged drug parties. In a lengthy statement, the actor wrote, "I DONT go to Parties.. Im constantly on flights.. Im a workoholic, I dont have a personal life.. I dont associate myself with people like that."
She further elaborated on her lifestyle, emphasizing her dedication to work and distancing herself from the scandal. "And on my off days im at home on a beach in Dubai or with my high school friends! I spend my entire days and nights working on my dreams and goals! Dont believe anything you read!" she added in her post.
The Mumbai Police Investigation and Other Celebrities Named
The controversy erupted after Mumbai Police's Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) uncovered a significant drug network reportedly connected to Dawood Ibrahim, according to PTI reports. The syndicate was allegedly operated by wanted drug lord Salim Dola, a known associate of Dawood, who supposedly ran the operation from Dubai.
Investigators revealed that the network supplied mephedrone, commonly known as M-Cat or Meow Meow, across multiple Indian states and even smuggled the drug overseas. A crucial breakthrough came in August when Salim Dola's son, Taher Dola, was extradited from the UAE.
Media reports, including from India Today, indicated that Taher provided key information to investigators, claiming that Bollywood actors, models, rappers, filmmakers, and even Dawood's relatives attended drug parties he organized both in India and abroad.
The investigation document specifically mentioned several high-profile names alongside Nora Fatehi:
- Rapper Loka
- Actress Shraddha Kapoor and her brother Siddharth Kapoor
- Socialite Orry (Orhan)
- Director duo Abbas-Mustan
- Zeeshan Siddiqui, who shares a close relationship with Salman Khan
Fatehi's Warning Against False Allegations
In her Instagram statement, Nora Fatehi expressed frustration at becoming what she called an "easy target" for such allegations. She referenced a previous incident where she faced similar accusations and warned against using her name for sensationalism.
"It seems like my name is an easy target! but i wont allow it to happen this time!" she wrote. "Please refrain from using my name and image on situations that have absolutely NOTHING to do with me! This will come with a heavy heavy price! Respectfully."
The actor's strong denial comes as the Mumbai Police continues its probe into the international drug syndicate and the alleged involvement of various high-profile individuals from the entertainment industry and beyond.
