Times Entertainment's Power Creator Awards Women's Edition Jury Convenes Ahead of Mumbai Ceremony

In celebration of International Women's Day, Times Entertainment is set to host the Power Creator Awards – Women's Edition in Mumbai on March 9. In preparation for this prestigious event, the awards jury recently gathered for a crucial brainstorming session to deliberate and finalize the selection of Jury Choice winners.

Star-Studded Jury Panel Shares Insights and Experiences

The distinguished jury panel for this year's awards includes acclaimed actors Divya Dutta, Anup Soni, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, and Rasika Dugal. Each member brought unique perspectives to the evaluation process, reviewing numerous profiles of female creators from across India.

Divya Dutta described her jury experience as "truly fantabulous," though she initially found herself stepping outside her comfort zone. "Many categories were far beyond my own area of work," she admitted. "But once I dived deep into the process, it became incredibly engaging to explore the worlds of these creators and witness the passion and innovation with which they approach their craft."

Anup Soni found reviewing nearly 100 profiles to be both inspiring and humbling. "Each story reflected determination, creativity and a strong sense of purpose," he observed. "What I particularly enjoyed were the jury discussions, and hearing different viewpoints made the process richer and more insightful. It is wonderful to see platforms like the Power Creator Awards celebrating women who are shaping conversations and communities in such meaningful ways."

Jury Members Express Inspiration and Joy

Rasika Dugal characterized her jury experience as "pure joy," saying it offered her a valuable glimpse into the diverse ways women across India are finding their voices and expressing themselves creatively. "Through this process, I was so happy to be introduced to some really fun women - women who are dancing with abandon, women who are rapping with intelligence and humour and women who have the ability to crack up a room full of people with their sharp wit."

Dugal particularly highlighted the 'Breaking the bias' category as one of her favorites. "I was so moved," she shared. "Not just by the courage it takes to challenge what is expected, but by the imagination and honesty with which these women were doing it. I am so inspired."

Shweta Tripathi Sharma reflected thoughtfully on the jury meet and her interactions with fellow panelists. "To witness so many creators through the jury process was a reminder that creation is really a reflection of who we are," she noted. "Our stories, our beliefs, and our questions all find their way into what we make. In a time when so many voices are finding space, creation becomes not just content but a deeply personal form of expression."

Awards Structure and Public Participation

In addition to the Jury Choice honors determined by the expert panel, the Power Creator Awards will also present Popular Choice awards to winners selected through public voting. This dual recognition system ensures that both expert opinion and audience preference contribute to celebrating India's most impactful female creators.

The awards ceremony promises to be a significant event in the entertainment calendar, recognizing women who are making substantial contributions across various creative fields and digital platforms. The jury's deliberations have highlighted the remarkable diversity, talent, and innovation present among female creators in contemporary India.
