Ranveer Singh's Intense Physical Transformation for Dhurandhar 2 Exposed by Trainer

The blockbuster film Dhurandhar 2 continues to dominate the box office, shattering records and earning widespread acclaim for its entire cast. Among the standout performances, Ranveer Singh has particularly captivated audiences with his portrayal of Hamza and Jaskirat, with many critics hailing it as his career-best work. A significant part of this praise stems from his remarkable physical transformation, which saw him adopt a formidable 'beast' physique for the role.

The Grueling Training Regimen Behind the Beast

In an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times, fitness trainer and actor Mustafa Ahmed, who also appears in the film as Rizwan, provided detailed insights into how Ranveer achieved his imposing look. "Ranveer is a treat to train. The world knows of his boundless energy. He genuinely enjoys weight training," Mustafa revealed. He recounted Ranveer's enthusiastic approach, quoting the actor's own words: "Sir, loha todte hain" (Sir, we break iron).

The transformation was achieved through an intense schedule of two training sessions daily over four to five weeks. Mustafa emphasized the director's specific vision, stating, "It was Aditya sir’s instruction that Ranveer has to look like a beast in Dhurandhar, but he cannot be stiff. We had a very short period before shooting began, and Ranveer was only 75–76 kgs. On the first shoot day, he was 87 kgs. We had to eat a lot!" This rigorous routine sculpted Ranveer into a figure described as "a man who can rip a person apart with his hands."

Ranveer's Secret Weakness and Co-Stars' Eating Habits

Beyond the hardcore training, Mustafa shared a lighter anecdote about Ranveer's love for Nutella, humorously noting, "I can tell you that when it comes to Nutella, Ranveer Singh can sniff it out. He will just go and find where Nutella is." This glimpse into his dietary indulgences adds a human touch to the actor's disciplined regimen.

The conversation also extended to other Bollywood stars Mustafa has trained. He spoke highly of Hrithik Roshan's appetite, revealing, "He can eat! I’ve seen him eat 13–14 ghee waali chapatis, and he only stopped because the next chapati took time to be brought. He’s an absolute foodie." Additionally, Mustafa briefly worked with Vicky Kaushal for the shelved film 'Ashwatthama', marveling at his metabolism: "Vicky Kaushal can eat a brick and digest it. I don’t know what kind of metabolism he has. It’s so difficult to make him put on weight or build muscle. He can just eat anything and digest it."

As Dhurandhar 2 continues its record-breaking run, these behind-the-scenes revelations highlight the dedication and effort invested by actors like Ranveer Singh, whose physical commitment has become a key talking point in the film's success story.
