Seema Sajdeh Compares Khan Family to 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' in Heartfelt Revelation
In a candid conversation, fashion designer and reality TV star Seema Sajdeh has shared intimate details about her enduring bond with the Khan family, despite her divorce from Sohail Khan several years ago. She likened marrying into the family to "walking onto the sets of Hum Saath Saath Hain," emphasizing their close-knit unity and unwavering support during challenging times.
Unwavering Support from Salman Khan and Family
Seema Sajdeh, who was married to Sohail Khan for nearly two decades and shares two sons, Nirvan and Yohan, revealed that the Khan family stood firmly by her side throughout her separation. Speaking to Usha Kakade Productions, she recounted how Salman Khan and other family members provided emotional and practical assistance, even during conflicts with Sohail.
"Not just Salman Khan, the entire family was extremely supportive," Seema said. "In fact, Salman once told me, 'You guys may separate or not, but you will always remain the mother of these kids.' That stayed with me." She added that the support extended beyond words, with family members often taking her side in disagreements and continuing to help with parenting responsibilities.
Post-Divorce Dynamics and Emotional Challenges
Reflecting on her relationship with Sohail Khan after their divorce, Seema admitted that the initial phase was emotionally taxing. "There was a time when I was angry at Sohail and he was angry at me," she shared. "But at the end of the day, I have spent 25 years of my life with him. We have children together. He will always be the father and I will always be the mother. That connects you for life."
She also highlighted the emotional toll of public scrutiny, particularly being labeled a "gold digger" by trolls. "You have to be extremely thick-skinned to survive in Bollywood," Seema noted, describing the pain caused by such accusations.
A Lasting Connection to the Khan Household
Seema emphasized that she still feels welcomed by the Khan family, sharing a recent encounter with Sohail's mother. "I recently ran into Sohail's mother, I still call her my mother-in-law, and she told me, 'Why don't you come and visit us? It's been so long. Please keep coming,'" she recounted warmly.
She concluded by affirming her lasting ties through her children, stating, "I may be divorced, but my children are half Khan and half Sajdeh – so through them, this will always be my family." This heartfelt account sheds light on the complexities of family bonds in Bollywood, transcending marital changes.
