She issued a legal notice regarding what she calls a negative portrayal. Sanober later clarified that she did not threaten the filmmakers. She explained her family's distress over the representation.
"The story portrayed in the film is also wrong," Sanober told News 18. "My father trained Sapna didi. She was like a sister to him. She visited our home and office regularly."
Family Defends Hussain Ustara's Legacy
Sanober Shaikh strongly defended her father's character. She stated, "My father wasn't a gangster. Hussain Ustara helped numerous people. He aimed to cleanse the city and remove gangsters. He wasn't a criminal. You won't find any criminal record against him."
She emphasized that their primary concern involves protecting his image. "The problem is how his image is portrayed in the film," she added.
Sanober further elaborated on her family's emotional pain. "Both of them worked against criminals. Their methods may have been questionable, but this happened 28 years ago. As his family, we worry that his image is being tarnished. This isn't about money. My first notice doesn't mention financial compensation at all."
