Actor Shammy Thilakan has officially joined the cast of 'Chiyaan 63', the upcoming Tamil film headlined by Vikram. This project brings the two actors together once again after their previous collaboration in the 1995 Malayalam film 'Street'. Prior to that, they had also worked together in the 1993 film 'Dhruvam'. Directed by Anand Shankar, the film is already generating significant excitement among cinema enthusiasts.
Reunion After Decades
The update was revealed by actor Abhimanyu Shammy Thilakan through social media. In his post, Abhimanyu recalled a recent interaction with Vikram that deeply moved him. He shared the experience, writing, "Eda ninak enne ormayundo..?" Hearing these words from @the_real_chiyaan sir yesterday was a moment I will cherish forever. The last time we met, I was just a 6-month-old baby on the sets of the Malayalam movie Street, where he and my father shared the screen. They had first worked together in Dhruvam, and now more than 30 years later, they are reuniting for #chiyaan63."
Abhimanyu also revealed another touching moment from his meeting with Vikram. Recalling the interaction, he said, "Njan ninne pandu orupad eduthond nadanatha.." He further wrote, "When he smiled and added, 'Njan ninne pandu orupad eduthond nadanatha..', all I could do was give a shy, overwhelming smile. Standing next to these two incredible actors after more than three decades feels like absolute magic. From Malayalam classics to a massive Tamil project, some bonds only get more beautiful with time."
