Sharing his thoughts on Instagram Stories, Sivakarthikeyan wrote, "Dear brother Basil Joseph, really enjoyed Athiradi. Excited that your film is getting dubbed in Tamil for the first time and to hear you speak in Tamil." The message reflected the close friendship between the two actors. Athiradi Builds Strong Buzz Before Tamil Release

The Malayalam version of Athiradi recently crossed Rs 50 crore at the worldwide box office, making it one of the notable hits from the industry this year. The makers are now hoping to recreate the same success with the Tamil dubbed version. Sivakarthikeyan also wished Tovino Thomas, Vineeth Sreenivasan, and the entire team success for the Tamil release. The Tamil trailer has already generated attention online, especially among younger audiences and fans of Malayalam cinema.

Athiradi Tamil Version Gets Special Local Touch

In a recent interview, Basil Joseph and Tovino Thomas revealed that they personally dubbed several portions in Tamil after working closely with writers from Tamil Nadu. The team also made a few dialogue changes to make the film feel more relatable for Tamil audiences. One such moment in the Tamil trailer references Suriya's famous 'Hey Malini' dialogue from Vaaranam Aayiram. These small cultural touches are expected to help Athiradi connect better with audiences when it releases in Tamil theatres this week.
